We all love product launches, from ideas and concepts to the weird feeling in your stomach before you publish the sales page and then the rush of adrenaline when you get the first sale. It’s a rush like very few others.
Even now 12 years after my first product I still get nervous.
But what happens after that initial spike you get from the launch? Do you move onto the next project or do you build yourself a long term income? Nothing beats that launch spike but waking up every morning to find new sales comes a close second.
In this article, I want to take you through a very simple process that you can use to market your course day after day. As you add more and more courses your income will naturally grow until it can often surpass your launch income.
One benefit of this method is that you aren’t relying on affiliates to sell your product so you get to keep 100% of the sale.
Market Your Course With Hive Marketing
I call this method the Hive Marketing Method for reasons you can read elsewhere on this blog. All you need to know at this point is that it’s simple to set up, scalable, replicable and above all profitable.
What The Hell Is Hive Marketing Method
The first thing you need to do is to create a blog that has the sole function of marketing your product, no ads, no sidebar clutter, no other promotions or reviews.
All that a visitor should be able to do without leaving is to read your content and optin to a content upgrade.
- Use a “No Distraction” blog
- Use Content upgrades to generate leads
- Use a Follow up engagement sequence
What does one of these “Hives” look like?
Clue: look around you!
Next, you need to create 4 or 5 pieces of content, every piece of the content should be based on a problem your course aims to solve. It doesn’t matter if the content is long or short, whatever it takes to discuss the problem and the solution.
The aim of the content is simply to educate and give value to the reader and then give them a reason to join your list.
How are we going to get these readers onto a list?
Well, you need to create something that your reader will gain value from a “Content Upgrade”. I find that a 5 -7-day Bootcamp or email course is a great option

With these, it’s possible to generate a subscriber rate over 30% (this can also be increased by running lead ads on facebook to people who read the content but don’t optin.

Now that you have turned readers into subscribers you need to resist the urge to sell your product, spend time giving your subscribers value, educate them about the problem your course tackles and the solutions it offers all before you ever send them a link.
This is called indoctrination, it sounds worse than it actually is! It’s just getting subscribers aware of what you have to offer and the value of your product.
Remember that marketing is always more profitable than selling. By all means, link to the course and discuss it but do it in a subtle manner, in a 7 email sequence, you should only link to the course 3 times. This ensures that your subscribers continue to open your emails and continue to learn more about your product.
That’s it, that is your automated product selling machine perfect if you want to market your course long term, the real secret is to remember the following:
The content should pre-sell the Content Upgrade, and the content upgrade should pre-sell the course. Don’t be afraid to give away some of your best information, your readers and subscribers will appreciate it.
